Drama
Self-expression through drama helps to impart self-confidence and develop the ability of the individual to work as part of a team.
Regular trips are also organised to Stratford and Birmingham theatres.
In addition to lesson times, all pupils
are given the opportunity to take part in a play each year at the
school. The Nursery classes stage their own special performances
twice a year, while Lower School children (Reception to Year 2)
perform a nativity play at Christmas.
In the Upper School there is a major production during the year.
Children have the opportunity to choose their roles either as members
of the cast or in technical support.
Summer Term 2009 saw a fun-filled production of Bugsy Malone. Bugsy was played by 11 year old Virgile who joined Eversfield in Form 4 when he moved over from France. Virgile whose English fluency has gone from strength to strength over the last 2 years, competently delivered a considerable amount of dialogue and really played his part well.
