Wellbeing and Safeguarding

Eversfield Preparatory School is committed to keeping all its pupils safe both in school, at home and in the wider community. Their well-being is of utmost importance and we are vigilant in our approach to child protection.

Everyone working in the school has been through vigorous safeguarding checks and successfully passed all the necessary clearances to enable them to work with the children. All visitors that we invite into the school are never left alone unsupervised unless they too have been cleared and registered to do so.

We have Child Protection and Safeguarding policies both of which can be viewed on the web-site. All staff have regular training and updates throughout the year. Our designated safeguarding lead and deputy safeguarding leads attend annual training provided by Solihull Local Safeguarding Partnership (LSCP) as well as undertaking specialist modules regularly.

We work very closely with the LSCP and have a direct line to the multi-agency support team (MASH). If we have any concerns of a child protection or safeguarding nature we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with their parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that this would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is: Mrs S Sliney, Director of Pastoral Care

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding leads are: Mr R Yates (Headmaster), Miss K Shipley (EYFS) & Mrs D Mian (School nurse) or please contact our school office who will advise you who to speak to.

You can also contact Solihull’s MASH team directly:  0121-788 4300 or 0121-788 6060 (out of hours)
