Music
The music at Eversfield is exciting, inspiring and fun!
At Eversfield we believe that music is an important part of every child’s upbringing and education. We aim to encourage and develop children’s creativity giving them a sense of fulfilment and enjoyment in all aspects of their music making.
The school has an active Music Department overseen by the Director of Music, with support from other staff members and a team of peripatetic teachers.
Pupils get lots of opportunities to experience the enjoyment of playing through timetabled class music, instrumental lessons, choirs and ensembles. All pupils get the opportunity to perform throughout the year at various concerts, services and also in assemblies.
There is a good range of instrumentation and pupils achieve a good standard. The Director of Music is always available to advise parents on a suitable choice of instrument.
Pupils regularly compete for music scholarships at independent senior schools.
The school has a Junior, Senior and Chamber Choir who regularly sing at concerts and services. There is also a school Orchestra and various ensemble groups which give regular performances at school assemblies, concerts and other functions.
