Special Educational NeedsChildren with special educational needs are welcome at Eversfield. For the majority of the weekly curriculum, pupils with special educational needs are taught in their respective year groups alongside the rest of their class. They receive additional support and encouragement from their teachers and assistants, and benefit from being taught in small ability groups or sets for literacy and numeracy work. Support from the school’s Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) or one of the learning support assistants is available on a one-to-one basis or in a small group during non-curriculum time, for which an additional charge is made. Children in Yr 4 and Yr5 also receive small group 'booster lessons' during curriculum time.
