An Unforgettable Journey: Young Voices 2020

Year 6 pupils took to the stage in one of the UK’s most prestigious music arenas as part of the Young Voices 2020 series of live music concerts touring the UK during January and February. Performing alongside over 5,000 other children they entertained a 15,000 packed-to-capacity crowd of family and friends at the prestigious Resorts World Arena, Birmingham.

Young Voices is the largest school choir in the world and combines the power of singing collectively with a wide range of musicians and international artists to create an unforgettable performance.

The show featured guest headline artist Tony Hadley along with The Shires, who have become one of the most talked-about country music acts, and former The Voice UK winner Ruti.

The concert was the culmination of weeks of dedication and hard work by the children. Under the direction of Everfield’s Director of Music, Mr Biggs, the children learned over 20 songs from a wide range of music styles, along with a series of specially choreographed moves.

To perform with all their school friends helped boost their confidence and ability to communicate as part of a team: and made for one of the most exciting and memorable musical experiences imaginable.

'This was the best night of my life'…… and ''Thank you very much for taking me' …..were just two of the comments from pupils as they left the coach to return home, having performed on stage where artists like Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Take That, and many more have performed!
