LAMDA Results Inspire Next Generation of Confident Communicators

We are excited to be able to share how very proud we are of all the children for their excellent set of LAMDA examination results. Almost 40 exams were taken with a 100% pass rate, and a staggering 83% passed with Distinction, and 17% with Merit.

Given the challenges faced this year a real highlight for the children was the opportunity to take face to face exams at all. Sessions had to be suspended between January and March, and LAMDA only commenced face to face exams from March so, with huge support from parents, the children worked exceptionally hard to prepare and gained tremendous results.

We applaud all the children for putting in such a tremendous effort to showcase their talent in the examinations which ranged from Year 2, taking an introductory exam, right through to Grade 3 in Year 6, and thank Mrs Reynolds for preparing the children so well and working with them to ensure any nerves were well managed and that their experience was positive.

LAMDA at Eversfield

Mrs Reynolds is an examiner for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and teaches a fun and exciting curriculum at Eversfield preparing children for LAMDA acting and communication examinations with excellent results.

LAMDA’s performance examinations use drama to develop self-confidence, physical presence and a strong speaking voice. LAMDA’s communication examinations provide the opportunity to develop a clear speaking voice, positive body language and self-confidence by exploring different uses of spoken English. Some children take both examination routes.

Eversfield benefits by being registered with LAMDA as a Private Examination Centre which offers our pupils ease of location and greater flexibility when scheduling dates for examinations.

Exams are regulated by OFQUAL and from Grade 6 gain UCAS points so they are a useful springboard in preparation for University entrance.  Starting in Year 2 with introductory exams, and moving up each year as we hold exams annually, we reach Grade 3 at Eversfield, and many children go on to continue LAMDA exams at their secondary schools.

The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) began offering speech and drama examinations to the public in the 1880s. Since then, these examinations have been refined and developed by experts in education, performance and body, and today LAMDA has a reputation for excellence worldwide.
