European Day of Languages
To celebrate European Day of Languages, Lower School pupils took part in a variety of activities, including singing multilingual songs and learning how to disco dance in French. Upper school pupils learnt how to greet each other in Japanese and discovered how to write some Kanji characters.
The children also completed a languages information trail which enabled them to explore English words whose origins are in other languages. All correctly completed trail sheets have been entered into a prize draw and the winner will be announced on Monday in the Headmaster's assembly.
We also enjoyed Form 5’s German performance of Rotkëppchen or Little Red Riding Hood in a special Modern Foreign Languages assembly.
