Jerusalem Joy

This week Form 2 and 3 joined forces for our Easter production to stage a widely acclaimed and outstanding performance of 'Jerusalem Joy', a cantata for Easter written by Roger Jones. It tells the Easter story beginning with events on Palm Sunday through to Easter Day.

Rehearsals began in January and with twelve songs to learn, auditions for solo parts, narration, staging, choir choreography, costumes, scenery, sound and lighting to negotiate, there was plenty to do. Both children and staff worked extremely hard, and when they were joined on the evening by our orchestra made of the peripatetic music staff, all agreed that this was a performance of quality. The children preformed superbly and benefitted immensely from the opportunities it gave them.

Congratulations to everyone involved.
