Sign-up to Support the Eversfield School Association

At the AGM on Wednesday 28th April (7.30pm via Zoom) several roles are up for re-election including Chair, Secretary, Vice Secretary and Vice Treasurer.

The Eversfield School Association works with the School to benefit the education and welfare of pupils, and also to raise funds to support projects through a programme of events and activities held during the year for all ages to enjoy.

Fundraising efforts over the years have led to significant contributions towards the purchase of IT equipment, the refurbishment of the library, a cricket pavilion, curtains and staging, indoor heated swimming pool and most recently the woodland nature area.

Chair: this person oversees the ESA, chairs the ESA meetings and ensures events are running according to protocol.

Secretary: is responsible for ensuring the ESA has regular meetings, sends out and takes the minutes of each meeting, sends reminders and agendas about upcoming events and dates.

Vice Secretary: supports the Secretary and arranges the communications, for example posters and WhatsApp group messages.

Vice Treasurer: support the Treasurer, the person does not need to have experience with accounts, they help with cashing funds raised into the bank

All the positions work together to support each other and ensure the accounts are clear and up to date. None of the roles are expected to run ESA events unless they wish to. The volunteers for the positions also become the Trustees for the ESA. The positions are usually held for two years before being re-elected. It is a voluntary position.

There are generally two ESA meetings a term (six per year and one per term with just the Trustees).

If you are interested in becoming more involved with the ESA, please do attend the AGM if you can.  If you can't make that night, but would like to be involved, please contact the Committee directly via email esa@eversfield.co.uk There are lots of ways to be part of the team and always cake and camaraderie a plenty!

We look forward to hearing from you and you joining the team.
