Yet another fundraising record this time in support of Marie Curie
Eversfield Preparatory School has raised a staggering £16,564.86 for Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull surpassing all of the school’s previous fundraising totals.
Each September Eversfield’s School Council, made up of children from Years 2 to 6, select a charity that the school will support throughout the academic year. The School Council then organise various fundraising events including cake sales, non-uniform days, charity breakfasts and sponsored events that take place throughout the school year. This year’s events included an exciting Eversfield’s Got Talent competition with musicians, singers, gymnasts, impressionists and even a magician competing for the winning place.
At the school’s open day a cheque was presented to representatives from Marie Curie who were staggered by the amount of money that had been raised. Kevin Reynolds of Marie Curie addressed staff and pupils saying ‘You are an amazing school, full of children with fantastic talents who will become wonderful adults. The work that you do for your community is extraordinary’.
All of the money raised will go directly to Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull.
