The School DayNursery and Reception children start their day at 8.30am, with the Pre-Preparatory Department and Upper School starting at 8.40am. The morning nursery session ends at 12 noon, but can be extended to include lunch and the afternoon session which begins at 1.00pm and ends at 3.15pm. Reception pupils are dismissed at 3.30pm, with Years 1 and 2 following at 3.45pm, and Years 3 to 6 finishing at 4.05pm. However, the school day extends well beyond the basic timetable. Supervision is available without charge on the playground from 8.00am until lessons begin. For nursery children, pre-school supervision is available from 8.00am until 8.30am in the nursery for an additional charge. After-school supervision is also available, for an additional charge, until 5.30pm. Early Years and Pre-Prep pupils are supervised in the Early Years department, with Years 3 to 6 taking part either in after-school clubs or undertaking prep (homework) in Upper School supervised by a teacher. |
