Approach to Curriculum
At Eversfield our curriculum is rooted in the National Curriculum and the Early Years Foundation Stage. We prioritise academic rigour in core areas such as English and mathematics while delivering a broad, balanced and engaging education that develops creative, physical, technical, social and emotional skills alongside cognitive growth.
In Lower School, learning is play-based and enquiry-led, nurturing curiosity, communication and well-being while laying secure foundations for future success. In Middle School, fundamental knowledge and skills are carefully consolidated across disciplines, fostering increasing independence and depth of understanding. In Upper School, specialist teaching strengthens subject expertise and supports preparation for future study and, where appropriate, entrance assessments.
Across the whole school, all children benefit from specialist teachers in music, languages and sports, ensuring high-quality, expert instruction from the earliest years. Beyond the National Curriculum, we add value through small class sizes, leadership opportunities, enrichment activities and educational visits, alongside a strong emphasis on character, confidence and critical thinking.
Our curriculum is designed not only to meet requirements, but to inspire ambition, resilience and a lifelong love of learning.
