Art Club Honours Armed Forces with Community Art Installation

In a touching tribute for Remembrance Sunday, Art Club have joined forces with the community to create a stunning art installation honouring men and women of our armed forces. The students crafted delicate, handmade poppies using wire, tissue, and paper, symbolising remembrance and resilience. To give the project an environmentally conscious twist, they also upcycled single-use plastic bottles, painting them with acrylic to resemble poppies in vibrant red hues.

The Remembrance Poppy Installation at St Alphege Church, Solihull, features over 8,000 handmade poppies made by people all linked with the parish in some way, united in their wish to contribute to the town's Act of Remembrance serving as both a visual reminder of the past and a call for reflection and unity among all generations.
