Eversfield Awarded National Accreditation for Mental Health & Wellbeing Excellence

Eversfield Preparatory School has been officially awarded the Whole School Approach to Mental Health & Wellbeing Accreditation by the National College, recognising the school’s ongoing commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across its entire community and placing it at the heart of the school’s decision making.

This prestigious accreditation highlights Eversfield’s strategic and compassionate approach to embedding mental health awareness in line with DfE guidance and best practice into every aspect of school life; from classroom culture and curriculum design to staff development and pupil support.

“We are incredibly proud to have achieved this recognition,” said Mr Robert Yates, Headmaster at Eversfield. “Supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of our pupils and staff is central to our ethos. This accreditation reflects the commitment of our entire community to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.”

Joe Stoney, co-founder of The National College, said: “Congratulations to everyone at Eversfield Preparatory School on achieving their National Mental Health & Wellbeing Accreditation. By completing our training programme, the school has shown its strong commitment to developing an environment where both children and staff feel supported, valued and can thrive.

“The DfE and Public Health England (PHE) both stress the importance of a whole school approach to mental health in order to secure better outcomes for pupils but this requires engagement and investment from all staff. We’ve armed schools with the knowledge and skills they need to understand their responsibilities and how to react in the best way possible to any problems.”

In a time when mental health support for young people is more vital than ever, Eversfield’s accomplishment sets a benchmark for other schools striving to support the holistic development of their pupils.
