Making a Splash in Learning
There has been an exciting new addition to our Early Years playground during the summer term – a Water Wall! The interactive apparatus has proved to be a firm favourite with all the children, offering endless opportunities for play, discovery, and learning.
As children pour, scoop, pump and watch the water flow, they are not only developing their fine motor skills, but also engaging in rich scientific exploration and teamwork. They are beginning to understand key concepts like forces, gravity, and flow, all through hands-on, play-based experiences. The Water Wall is also a fantastic tool for building communication and language skills as the children naturally begin to share ideas, use new vocabulary to describe what they see, and develop critical thinking as they predict outcomes and make sense of cause and effect.
