School Council
On Monday we had our first School Council meeting of the new academic year, with the main focus being our exciting new school charity, Newlands Bishop Farm.
The children were introduced to the charity and learnt more about the fantastic work they do in the local community. We discussed how Eversfield can support the Farm throughout the year and the important role the School Council will play in helping to organise and promote fundraising activities.
As a special start to their new roles, all School Council members were presented with their School Council badges. The badges recognise their responsibility as representatives of their Forms and the wider Eversfield community.
The children were then given their first challenge: to return to their Forms and gather ideas for fundraising activities that they would like to see take place during the year. We are looking forward to hearing their ideas and seeing how these can help us raise as much money and awareness as possible for Newlands Bishop Farm.
Our first fundraising event will be an Own Clothes Day in November, giving the whole school an opportunity to get involved from the very beginning.
It was a fantastic first meeting, and we are excited to see the School Council take an active role in supporting our new charity throughout the year.
Well done.
Mr Leonard
