The Power of Traditional Tales
Traditional tales aren’t just for story time—they’re powerful tools for active, playful learning, introducing children to social and moral dilemmas, developing language and offering cultural awareness and tradition.
Our Kindergarten and Nursery children have been exploring the traditional tale The Enormous Turnip and what better way to bring the story to life than by growing their very own turnips with Mr McIvor and making soup. They have been introduced to plant lifecycles, been discussing healthy eating and learning the social importance of teamwork and patience.
