Eversfield Preparatory School recognises that many pupils may enjoy or excel in a particular subject, activity or pastime and wish to widen their experience.
To encourage and support these interests, a variety of optional extra activities are available either free or for an additional charge. The majority of optional extras take place during lunchtime or after normal school hours.
Clubs on offer include computing, street dance, chess and tennis at lunchtime and after school clubs include tap dance, drama, football, karate, photography, art, as well as clubs by invitation only e.g. Wind Band. Many of the children involved in our Drama Club sit LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations and the last results included 36 Distinctions and 15 Merits.
Music plays an important role at Eversfield. All children from Kindergarten to Form 6 enjoy a weekly music lesson with the Director of Music in our purpose built music room. In addition over 120 individual music lessons take place every week on a range of instruments including brass, woodwind, string and percussion. Children at Eversfield have the opportunity to join a school choir or one of the many music ensembles. In the recent ABRSM examinations our pupils were awarded a Distinction, two Merits and three Passes at Grade 3; three Distinctions, a Merit and a pass at Grade 2; two Merits and two Passes at Grade 1.
An OFSTED registered, multi-sports and activity camp runs every holiday for children aged 5 to 14 years. This is organised by Allactivesports at Eversfield, using the school's classrooms, gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis courts and extensive playing fields.
