Director of Music

We are seeking to appoint a talented and dynamic Director of Music to lead our thriving Music department. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated staff at an outstanding prep school, recently awarded Independent Prep School of the Year in the TES Schools Awards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and teaching music to pupils across all age ranges (2¾ to 11 years of age) and will play an important role in the organisation of major events in the school calendar. In addition, you will lead and manage the instrumental programme across the school.
You will have a clear vision for teaching music across the whole school, be passionate, motivated and show a genuine commitment to creating an inspiring and stimulating environment for the development of learning and performance of music. Proven classroom experience, excellent teaching skills, a commitment to high quality music performance and willingness to contribute to all aspects of school life are essential.
Our pupils’ musical talents flourish during their time at Eversfield as indicated by outstanding music exam results, invitations to join the Royal Academy of Music and 11+ music scholarship offers at some of the leading independent secondary schools in the country.
