Caring Across the Continent
It’s official. This morning, in a special whole-school assembly, Reshomile Primary School, Diepsloot Township, South Africa was unveiled as our beneficiary school charity for 2022-2023.
Our relationship with the school builds on the links established in 2020 by the Sawle family who initiated a Lenten coin collection to raise funds to support the work of schools in the Diepsloot Township.
Approximately 1500 pupils attend the primary school in the deprived Township with many of the children facing hardship in their daily lives with an absence of basic human needs such as food, energy, water and clothing. Throughout this academic year the pupil elected Eversfield School Council will lead a series of fundraising initiatives to benefit pupils at Reshomile Primary School.
We are looking forward to developing our bonds with the children across the 8,000 miles.
