Splash-tastic!

Putting aside their nerves, our swimming squad performed tremendously well at the recent qualifying rounds of the IAPS Championships. It is a hugely popular nationwide competition attracting some 400 schools and hundreds of talented swimmers to qualifying galas across the UK during the spring term.

Our squad of 19 secured a number of top 3 positions with promising results recorded in the individual breaststroke and butterfly races, and the boy’s medley relay team winning their qualifying round. Special mention to Reuben for his skilled tumble turns, to all the swimmers stepping up to take the diving starts, and for everyone for displaying wonderful camaraderie and sportsmanship cheering all the competitors on in their races.

We have to wait patiently now until later in the year to hear whether or not our swimmers have done enough to progress to the IAPS National Swimming Finals held at the London Aquatics Centre in June.

We are proud of all the sqad that took part and their dedication to training:
