Winners Unveiled of Engineering Design Challenge 2023
All the teams involved in the year 6 Engineer Design Challenge 2023 to design and manufacture a battery-operated car displayed tremendous teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills.
They started their six week challenge learning the difference between an artistic drawing of an object and a technical design. Once in their teams they held planning meetings to decide on the final design, organised their build materials and began manufacturing. There were hurdles along the way and they soon discovered engineers need to be both creative and good problem solvers as they collaborated to improve and refine their porotype designs.
The challenge culminated in a presentation by each group to the judging panel who decided on a winning model based not only on the final product but analysis of their design and manufacturing process.
