On the Ball
With just 8 girls for a 7-a-side tournament, there was plenty of playing time for all at the girls' football festival hosted by Crackley Hall School. The festival involved 13 teams from 11 schools and hundreds of girls who were all delighted to put their tackling and shooting skills to the test.
The first few games were all drawn, with plenty of action in attack and defence. In the fourth game of the day, the girls scored a goal and kept a clean sheet to record their first win. At the end of play, the team had won 4, drawn 5 and lost just 3 of the 12 games that they played. A very enjoyable day, with the girls going home happy, but very tired after 84 minutes of football!
