House Matches' Highlights

Junior Apprentices
In true apprentice-style, Form 6 have been working this term to develop and launch their own café business ventures. Their multi-skills Maths challenge required them to collectively draw on their creativity to develop their marketing materials, maximise their seating capacity and carefully work through their costings to maximise profitability on their chosen menu. Skyscraper City British Science Week
To mark British Science Week, Mrs Sliney worked with the children to see ‘Who can build the tallest tower?’ Kicking off the week-long programme Reception called on the aid of their Year 6 buddies to assist with their construction challenge. Champion Spelling Bee Crowned
Our competition to crown Eversfield's top speller culminated in a grand finale spelling shoot-out. Over 75% of children from Forms 3, 4, 5 and 6 enthusiastically signed-up to compete and raise funds for Zoë's Place Coventry baby hospice. Read more22Mar
Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
A huge thank you for the generosity shown by so many individuals within our school community who contributed to our appeal to support the refugees from Ukraine. Especially the parents who have family links with Ukraine for arranging for donations to be collected and distributed through a group based in Birmingham. Read more22Mar
Rhythm of Broadway
The curtains rose as Broadway and the sounds of musical theatre arrived at Eversfield last week. With over one hundred children plus staff and members of the school community involved, an enthusiastic audience was treated to a variety of numbers old and new. Read more21Mar
Safe Cycling Skills
All this week Year 6 are pedalling their way through Bikeability, the cycling proficiency course. Today they have been practising at school and developing safe cycling habits. They are learning the rules of the road before heading out onto the lanes tomorrow and the rest of this week. Read more21Mar
A Cracking Competition
There have been some egg-cellent entries to the egg decorating competition! Congratulations to all the children who so imaginatively decorated their eggs and raised over £100 in support of Zoë's Place Baby Hospice Coventry. Read more17Mar
