On Track at Silverstone

Form 6 headed out to Silverstone this week to discover the science, stories and stars behind British motor racing. They took part in a workshop to explore the technology, design and science of race cars which was great preparation for this term’s engineering challenge to build their own cars. Read more

Super Scientists Battle at National Science Quiz

Two Eversfield Science Quiz teams competed today in the National Science Quiz Inter-school Heats. The quiz was a tense battle with questions beyond the knowledge of the National Curriculum but the children took the challenge in their stride and battled it out. Read more

Jewels of the Night at Space Camp

There was great anticipation for Space Camp and this year’s expedition to the depths of outer space did not disappoint Form 5. There was no mistaking the grandest planet of them all, Jupiter, visible to the naked eye as it broke through the partial cloud cover to dazzle over Solihull’s night skies. Read more

Weather Watch

Delivering data with scientific precision our new weather station has certainly been put through its paces this week with the changeable conditions. Pupils from across different year groups will be learning how to use the weather station and collecting data on the weather we experience over the coming months. Read more

Wild Safari Adventure

West Midland Safari Park is home to some of the world's most beautiful and endangered animal species. It provided the perfect location for Form 2 to secure and extend their science knowledge on animal habitats which they have been studying this term. Read more

Skyscraper City British Science Week

To mark British Science Week, Mrs Sliney worked with the children to see ‘Who can build the tallest tower?’ Kicking off the week-long programme Reception called on the aid of their Year 6 buddies to assist with their construction challenge. Kindergarten and Nursery drafted in assistance from Form 5. Read more
