Busy Buzzy Bees at Botanical Gardens
Birmingham's historic botanical gardens provided a unique starting point to Form 3's investigations this term into plants and the critical role they play in the Earth's ecosystem.
They embarked on a scavenger hunt around the gardens and tropical houses discovering interesting facts about the various plants and their unique growing habitats. A workshop introduced pupils to plant parts and the purpose of flowers in plants and a fun role play, where everyone had a job, demonstrated the role that the all-important `buzzy bee` and insects play in pollination and seed production.
