Houses Vie for Victory
Over the last two weeks, children in Forms 2 to 6 have been battling it out in the first round of house matches this year. Rugby and hockey have been the sports played this term, with Junior and Senior cups in each sport up for grabs. The weather has also played its part, with some of the hockey matches in particular being played in difficult conditions.
There were some tremendous matches in both sports. A thrilling 15-15 draw in one of the rugby matches springs to mind, where the lack of tackling, meant it was a game for the runners. A 13-0 hockey match, helped to swing the cup in a particular direction, as did the 18-16 victory, where 16 of the tries were scored by the same person. There was plenty to be enjoyed by those spectating across all the matches.
